EAA Chapter 1426 Meeting is the second Thursday of each month.
The next meeting of EAA Chapter 1426 will be on September 9, 2010 at the Twin County Airport, TCA Hangar at 7:00 p.m.
NEWS FLASH: Chapter 1426 pilot Bill Bryant is yet again a winner for the state of virginia for flying the most kids. He flew a total of 70 to place third in the state. Congratulations to Bill!

Young Eagles Rally on October 9--free airplane rides for kids 8 -17. A waiver form must be signed by the parents.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: Learn the material required by the FAA for the private pilot, or the recreational pilot knowledge test (airplane) with the objective of each student passing the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test.
CLASSROOM PROCEDURE: Lecture and guided discussion.
1. Class will begin with a review and questions from the last class (approximately 5-15 minutes).
2. Next, there will be a brief overview and core concepts for the current evening’s assignment, followed by class discussion and questions.
3. The last 15-30 minutes of each class session will be directed toward an overview and discussion of the next class assignment.
4. Visual aids and handouts will be used as appropriate.
The following course material may be purchased through Twin County Aviation, LLC or EAA Chapter 1426.
TEXT: Private Pilot and Recreational Pilot FAA Knowledge Test, by various authors.
ACCESSORIES: Flight Computer, Navigational Plotter
COST: Tax deductable donation to EAA Chapter 1426($100 recommended) plus cost of materials (approximately $90)
